Common Dashboard Lights Explained

Here is a great video explaining what the common dashboard lights mean and what you should do should these lights turn on.

1. Oil Light - If this light turns on, it is an indication that your car is low or has no oil pressure.

2. Check Engine Light - This light indicates a possible problem with your car's emissions control system.

3. Red Brake Warning Light - This light might indicates a problem with hydraulic system. Some vehicles might have this light turn on when the parking brake is on so be sure to check your parking brakes first.

4. ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) Warning Light - ABS monitors the speed of each wheel in your vehicle and prevents your wheels from locking up. If this light is on, your ABS is not working properly or you may be low on brake fluid.

5. Windshield Washer Coolant Level Indicator - If this light goes on, it could indicate that you are low on windshield washer.

If either of these lights turn on in your vehicle, stop by your nearest Midas Hawaii location and let us help diagnose the problem!
